I recommend using the Brave Browser and have recently switched to using it as my main day to day browser. It is based on Chromium (the open source project that the Chrome browser is based upon) and it by default stops ads and tracking of your personal information. As such your existing settings from Chrome can be imported and plugins you use should be compatible.
